What Are LeafBond™ Adjuvants?

LeafBond™ is a family of proprietary adjuvant products from Yield Innovations.

What Is An Adjuvant?

An adjuvant is the term given to products that enhance the performance of pesticides. These include products such as crop oil, methylated seed oil, non-ionic surfactants, water conditioners and drift reduction agents.

Why Use Adjuvants?

→ To increase spray deposition in the crop canopy
→ To reduce drift potential
→ To increase spray through the leaf cuticle
→ To reduce evaporation loss
→ Provide better wetting of the leaf surface
→ Provide more uniform distribution of the spray
→ Conditioning of water for less pesticide tie-up

How Will LeafBond™ Adjuvants Simplify My Customer Experience?

1. Product names will be consistent allowing you to gain familiarity and best use practices.

2. We have created a naming protocol that indicates what the product does in the name and includes the rate in the product's name. Including the rate in the product name will create less confusion and will be a quick double-check with your recommendation sheets.
→ Example: WaterSoft 1Q – is a Water conditioner that has a use rate of 1 qt./100.
→ Example: Inferno 2Q – is an MSO that “heats up” burndown mixes with a use rate of 2 qt./100
The names signify the use. The two digits at the end of the name indicate the use rate.

3. We have had all LeafBond adjuvants formulated with the very best ingredients to maximize the value you receive for the dollars spent on adjuvants.

DriftLock 2Q

A LeafBond™ Drift Mitigation Agent

WHAT IS IT?

DriftLock™ 2Q is a drift control, deposition aid, and foliar retention adjuvant

WHY USE IT?

When additional drift control is needed in ground applications, without additional surfactant load, DriftLock™ 2Q provides an easy-to-use solution with a low use rate.

HOW TO USE IT:

Post applied herbicides when environmental conditions
are sub-optimal.
RATE: 2 qt./100 gallons of water (0.5% v/v)

FoamAway

NEW FOR 2025! A LeafBond™ Defoamer

WHAT IS IT?

FoamAway™ is a two-mode of action foam control product. It works as both an antifoam agent (prevents foam,) as well as a defoamer (eliminates foam.

WHY USE IT?

FoamAway™ provides efficient foam control with the dual mode of action formulation. One product can take care of existing foam while also preventing foam from occurring in the first place.

HOW TO USE IT:

Prior To Foam Formation:
If you are using a product known to produce foam, add FoamAway™ to the spray mixture before foam formation. As a general rule, use .5 oz./100 gallons of water under most conditions. Applying 1-2 oz./100 gallons of water may be necessary under more difficult foam circumstances.
After Foam Formation:
If a mister is available, FoamAway™ can be diluted with water at a 50% ratio and sprayed over the foam to collapse existing foam challenges.
If a mister is not available, direct a small stream of FoamAway™ into the foam and continue to repeat until foam is manageable.

Igniter 2Q

A LeafBond™ Crop Oil

WHAT IS IT?

Igniter™ 2Q is a high load 60/40 crop oil. It is designed for use with a broad range of pesticides where a crop oil concentrate adjuvant is required or recommended.

WHY USE IT?

For burndown applications, Igniter™ 2Q aids in providing a quicker and more thorough burndown of weeds, IGNITING your burndown herbicide mixes. For in-crop applications, Igniter™ 2Q improves spray deposition in the canopy and enhances both spray coverage on leaf surfaces and penetration of the spray through the leaf cuticle, reducing evaporation.

HOW TO USE IT:

Burndown herbicide mixes and in-crop herbicide mixes where a crop oil concentrate is recommended
RATE: 2 qt/100 gallons of water (0.5%v/v)

Inferno 2Q

A LeafBond™ MSO

WHAT IS IT?

Inferno™ 2Q is a non-ionic blend of surfactants and methylated seed oil (60/40 MSO) designed for use with a broad range of pesticides where an MSO is required.

WHY USE IT?

Inferno™ 2Q increases contact activity and penetration of the spray while providing uniform coverage on leaf surfaces. It “HEATS UP” burndown mixes for maximum heat and burndown effectiveness. Inferno™ 2Q will maximize burndown effectiveness when outside temperatures are cold and/or weed density is high.

HOW TO USE IT:

Burndown herbicide mixes
RATE: 2 qt/100 gallons of water (0.5%v/v)

LeafLock™ 1Q

A LeafBond™ NIS

WHAT IS IT?

LeafLock™ 1Q is a premium 90% non-ionic surfactant (NIS) and can be used with a broad range of pesticides where an NIS is recommended.

WHY USE IT?

LeafLock™ 1Q improves the effectiveness of herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides by helping to “LOCK” the spray on leaf surfaces, providing more uniform distribution and better wetting of the plant surface.

HOW TO USE IT:

Corn icon

Post-applied herbicide mixes in corn, soybeans, and wheat.
RATE: 1 qt/100 gallons of water (0.25% v/v)

A LeafBond™ Aerial Adjuvant System

WHAT IS IT?

TargetLock™ 4Z is a uniquely formulated low-use rate adjuvant developed for both aerial and ground applications.

WHY USE IT?

TargetLock™ 4Z aids the applicator in getting more of your pesticide spray “ON-TARGET”. It increases pesticide deposition and reduces drift potential with the built-in DRA (Drift Reduction Agent).

HOW TO USE IT:

Aerial fungicide applications with drone, airplanes, and helicopters.
RATE: 4 oz./A.

TripleBond 2Q

A LeafBond™ Water Conditioner,
DRA, and NIS

WHAT IS IT?

A “Triple” (three-way) blend of water conditioning salts and nonionic surfactant formulated with a concentrated drift reduction/deposition agent.

WHY USE IT?

TripleBond™ 2Q adds convenience by reducing the number of products added to your spray tank. It optimizes herbicide performance by preventing hard water mineral antagonism of spray mixtures, reducing the production of small droplets that are susceptible to drift off-target, and improving the deposition of droplets on the leaf surface.

HOW TO USE IT:

Post-applied herbicide passes where drift control is important. Approved for use with Enlist herbicide mixes.
RATE: 2 qt/100 gallons of water (0.5%v/v)

TripleRinse 1Q

A LeafBond™ Tank Cleaner

WHAT IS IT?

A premium tank cleaner to ensure the safe removal of pesticides in both the spray tank and spray system, including lines and nozzles.

WHY USE IT?

Removing all pesticide residue before switching to mixtures that would negatively affect a susceptible crop is critically important to the health of your crop. Flushing both your spray tank and sprayer system with only water or with inferior tank cleaners increases your risk of crop injury. When following the recommended “Triple Rinse” procedure, TripleRinse™ provides peace of mind that your transition to the next pesticide program will come at no additional cost from crop injury.

HOW TO USE IT:

RATE: 1 qt/100 gallons of water (0.25%v/v)

RINSE PROCEDURE:
Use 10% of the tank’s capacity per rinse.
Step 1: Start with an empty tank.
Step 2: Rinse #1 Utilizing clean water (10% of tank capacity) and TripleRinse™ at the recommended rate, flush the boom until the water coming out of the nozzles looks clean.
Step 3: Remove and clean all screens and nozzles in a water/TripleRinse™ solution.
Step 4: Remove and clean boom end caps in a water/TripleRinse™ solution.
Step 5: Rinse #2 Utilizing clean water (10% of tank capacity) and TripleRinse™ at the recommended rate, flush the boom.
Step 6: Rinse #3 utilizing clean water
